Real-Time Billing and Flexible Payments in CNS CASS USA

FlexiPay is an additional module within the CASSLink environment that enables real-time billing, prepayment, and flexible payment arrangements between airlines and freight forwarders within the CNS CASS USA framework.

FlexiPay complements the existing CASS process by offering real‑time options without changing the core CASS cycle.

What is FlexiPay?

FlexiPay is a prepayment and flexible billing solution integrated into CASSLink that gives airlines and freight forwarders more control over AWB billing and settlement. It enables airlines to:

  • Bill freight forwarders before or after the Air Waybill (AWB) is flown
  • Define payment frequency and due dates based on bilateral agreements
  • Process transactions in real time
  • Offer secure payment options

How FlexiPay Works

FlexPay introduces a real-time process within CASSLink:

  • The airline and forwarder agree on payment terms.
  • The airline uploads the AWB to CASSLink using FlexPay.
  • The forwarder authorizes payment in real time.
  • Payment is processed during the standard end‑of‑day settlement run.

Payment Methods

Payments can be made through:

  • ACH Debit
  • ACH Credit
  • Credit Card

Participation

All CNS Airline Members and CNS Endorsed Cargo Agents automatically have access to FlexiPay within CASSLink.

For new participants, access becomes available once CNS Endorsement onboarding is completed. 

Fees

CNS Airline members: no transaction fee.

CNS endorsed Cargo Agents / Intermediaries: no FlexiPay fee.
