Environment

At CNS, protecting the environment is one of our top priorities.

Our goal is to encourage the US air cargo industry to become more environmentally responsible. As such, CNS has committed to the IATA Green Freight initiative, the IATA vision for the air cargo supply chain to obtain carbon neutral growth.

IATA e-freight is another essential contribution to the environment, with an objective to go paper-free by 2010.

At the CNS offices we have implemented the policy:

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!

We have found that implementing little changes have lead to significant results!

Below are a few examples of our green policy that we encourage you to follow:

  • Minimize Printed Materials:  by providing information in digital format, we reduce our use of paper and ink-thus we are saving tress.  We also recylce all our printing cartridges.
  • Use Recycled Materials:  when we cannot utilize a digital format, we ensure that we print on recycled paper.  For example, our magazine is printed on recycled paper.  All our conference materials (lanyards, tote bags, etc) are also comprised of recycled materials.
  • Green Partners:  one crtical criteria for the selection of CNS vendors is that they must have and follow and enviroment policy.
  • Limit Trash:  CNS does not use styromfoam cups or plates in its office.  We are mindful of the impact this waste has on landfills.
  • Have a suggestion, comment, or idea you'd like to share with CNS or the rest of the US Air Cargo community on going green?  Want to share your company's ideas on how to go green?
